FirstCare and Xchanging form Strategic Alliance

I said I would be watching developments at FirstCare closely since their recent acquisition of Active Health Partners. Well it hasn’t taken long for the Absence Management company to hit the news again as they have announced today a strategic tie-up with Xchanging HR Services.

I don’t know the detail behind the arrangement but it will give them an opportunity to distribute each others outsourced HR products and services. Both companies also suggest that it will lead to cost savings and competitively priced services.

How long FirstCare retains its independence as a result remains to be seen.
